Instructions (Print version)
1. Butterfly Wings: Cut 2 wings from black cardstock. (See below for template.) 2. Using any Fiskars decorative edge scissors, cut long triangles across a sheet of yellow 8-1/2” x 11” cardstock. Glue triangular stripes on butterfly wings using glue stick and trim off excess yellow paper. 3. Glue each wing on orange cardstock. Trim 1/4” larger all around using edger scissors. Glue wing center tabs together with tacky glue. 4. Cut out moth body using straight edge scissors. (See below for template.) Cut head top, or crown using edger scissors. Score moth body on fold lines using a stylus and straight edge. Fold body sides on score lines. Overlap and glue body back tabs together using tacky glue. Punch two 1/4” circle eyes from white cardstock. Glue in position on head top. Punch two 1/8” circle pupils from black cardstock. Glue in position on eyes. 5. Antennae: Wrap a black chenille stem around a pencil (or crochet hook). Slide wraps off pencil. Glue chenille stem end inside butterfly head top. Repeat for other antenna. Punch four yellow hearts from cardstock. Place heart on each side of chenille stem end and glue.
