I am such a fan of gardening and also realistic that there are not many pretty flowers I can grow in my yard due to the tremendous amount of shade. I have plenty of shade perennials and some of them do flower, but really none that I am able to do much with in a vase or decorative container. So I decided that since it is summer and since I love having flowers indoors as well as out, that I would create a fun summery bouquet of flowers I can see when I wake up each morning to start my day! I not only wanted pretty but I also wanted functional. So the flowers I created to sit in my Watering can are actually pens. This entire arrangement will sit by my telephone and the best part is that when my family wanders away with the pens they will always find their way back because with the flowers on the end everyone will know where they go!

Instructions
(Print version)
1. Using your Fiskars Texture plates, Fiskars Texture tool and 3 different cardstocks create some textured pieces. Take your sanding block and lightly sand each of these pieces creating a white pattern. 2. Now cut a variety of square and rectangle sizes from your textured pieces using your Fiskars Premium Crafters trimmer. Attach these to fit all around your watering can using your Zip Dry adhesive. You may need to create more textured pieces and make specific cuts to specific areas depending on your watering can shape. 3. Using your Fiskars Pop Up Daisy punch create several flowers out of all 3 colors of cardstock that you will add to the multi blocked design on your can. You can scatter these as you like around the can. 4. Take your Fiskars Upper Crest border punch and create 2 strips by punching and then trimming the punched piece off. Put one at the top of the can and the other at the bottom. 5. Cut 4 three inch squares from one of the colors of tissue using your Fiskars Classic No. 8 scissors. 6. Fan fold your stack of tissue squares and then fold it in half twisting a pipe cleaner around the center to hold it together. Gently pull the layers of tissue apart to create a carnation like flower. 7. Wrap the pipe cleaner flower around the top of your pen for a couple of inches and then use your Fiskars wire cutter to clip the excess pipe cleaner off. Wrap floral tape around the pipe cleaner area of your pen securing the flower in place. 8. Repeat steps #5-7 several times with different colors of tissues making the squares slightly larger and smaller for a variety of flowers. 9. Place your pen flowers in your watering can vase.
