Instructions (Print version)

  1. To make the wild flower pin, begin with the 1 ½” circle base.  The flower is created by applying Hand Punched – Teardrops cut from the olive paper around the circle beginning along the outside rim.  After the teardrops are cut, lightly fold them so they are no longer flat.  The rounded side of the teardrop lies along the edge of the circle just beyond the rim.  Apply each teardrop by rubbing a little glue to the back of each pointed end.  You may choose to drop a puddle of glue onto a scrap paper and then dip the back of the pointed teardrop into that puddle of glue.  It is helpful to press each teardrop with the Dual – Tip Stylus to make sure it is secured firmly to the paper circle base.  Embellish the center of the flower with a clear crystal.  Add a glue dot to the back of the flower.
  2. To create the leopard backing, hand sew one of the 12” sides of the ribbon and pull tight.  The ribbon will form a natural circle design.  Lightly hand sew the circle together and press flat.  Lay the ribbon onto the back of the flower around the glue dot.  Cut a 1” circle from black card stock using the Circle Cutter.  Press this circle to the back of the ribbon pushing into the glue dot.  Add a craft pin to the back and enjoy wearing!
