Treat Bag Toppers (with pretzels)

At my house, the closer we get to the holidays, the more we start covering things with candy and sprinkles! Candy-covered pretzel rods are such a fun, easy project and the kids absolutely love to decorate them. I usually get everything set up and then let them do the dipping and sprinkling while I make some festive treat bags to put them in for sharing with neighbors and friends. The topper cards I made for my bags are easy to mass-produce for lots holiday treat-giving.

Instructions (Print version)

1. Cut red cardstock to 5 ¼” X 4 ¼” using the Scallop Rotary Blade. Using the Scoring Rotary Blade, score the cardstock and fold so that your card is 4 ¼” wide.
2. Cut white cardstock to 5” X 4” using the straight rotary blade, score, and fold. Adhere to red cardstock.
3. Cut patterned paper to 4 ¾” X 3 ¾” with the straight rotary blade, score and fold. Adhere to white cardstock.
4. Punch green patterned ovals with the XL Oval ‘n Oval Again Squeeze Punch. Using the Medium Round ‘n Round Squeeze Punch, punch around the edges so that the oval looks like holly.

5. To make red holly berries, use the ¼” Hand Punch to punch three tiny circles per set of holly leaves. Adhere berries with Tool Taxi glue wand.

6. Print message on kraft cardstock. Punch message out with Large Square-a-licious Squeeze Punch, adhere to the back of the card.
7. Place card over treat bag and staple twice.

Candy-coated pretzels

Supplies: Pretzel Rods, Almond Bark (White and Chocolate), Candy Sprinkles, Wax Paper

1. Heat almond bark according to package directions.
2. Dip pretzel rod into almond bark.
3. Sprinkle with candies.
4. Place on wax paper to harden.
