I love taking scrapbooking “off the page”.  Many of my projects are altered containers that I often times put matching mini albums into and give away to family and friends.  This project is the first time I’ve used both the Ultra ShapeXpress and the Easy Stamp Press and I’m enamored!  Who would have thought making extra large circles and swirly shapes would be so easy?  Once you have the dial on the tool set for the weight of the paper, it is smooth cutting all the way.  And wow--no mess-ups and “stamp shadows” with the stamp press.  Why didn’t I start using these a long time ago?

Instructions (Print version)

Purse
1. Prepare your wood prior to adhering paper by either painting, inking or leaving natural.  Let any ink or paint dry before continuing.

Front of Purse
2. Using the Ultra ShapeXpress, cut two 8.25” circles from Wish You Were Here and Globetrotter (reverse) patterned papers.
3. Cut a 7.75” circle inside the Globetrotter 8.25” circle to make a thin border.
4. Using the Fingertip Craft Knife and an acrylic ruler or by using a trimmer, trim away any excess to match the contour of the purse as needed.
5. Using the Scalloped Daisy Embossing Border Punch, punch the length of Wish You Were Here (reverse) patterned paper.
6. Trim the paper to 3 ½” wide strip.  Punch the other length.
7. Using the Give it a Swirl Border Punch, punch the length of Globetrotter patterned paper.
8. Trim the paper to a 2” wide strip.  Punch the other length.
9. Layer and adhere both strips together.  Add to the large circle and trim edges.
10. Trim a small strip of Globetrotter (reverse) patterned paper to cover the bottom edge and adhere.
11. Adhere the Globetrotter circle border made earlier to the top.  Trim as needed.
12. Adhere this whole combination to the wooden purse.
13. Using the Ultra ShapeXpress, cut two swirls using the Shapes and Flowers template from the Globetrotter (reverse) patterned paper and adhere on top of the layered strips using mini glue dots.
14. Adhere one of the quote stickers to a cardstock sticker and place on top of the swirls.
15. Using Pop-up Glue Dots, adhere title.
