  • Required supplies:
  • Papers and stickers from Fiskars Photo Memories Scrapbook Kit (Family Vacation)
  • Tape Runner
  • (13) Large Envelopes
  • Double-sided tape
  • Vacation Words vellum stickers from Wonderful Words, Deja Views
  • Blue, red, white cardstock
  • Road Map paper from Paper Pizazz, Hot Off The Press, Inc
  • Die Cut Letters

Instructions (Print version)

  1. Tuck the flap of your first envelope inside itself.
  2. With the first envelope plain side down, and a second envelope pocket side up and to the right, use the Tape Runner to adhere the second envelope directly on top of the first envelope.  This will create a sturdy cover for your book.
  3. Tuck the flap of the second envelope inside itself.
  4. Turn your third envelope so that the plain side (the side where the address normally goes) is facing up with the flap of the envelope sticking out to the left.  Slide the flap of the third envelope into the pocket of the second envelope.  There should be a “pocket page” now on the left and a “plain page” on the right.
  5. Carefully fold the third envelope back at the crease so that it is lined up with the second envelope.
  6. Continue adding envelopes and folding them back until you have one envelope remaining.
  7. Tuck the flap of the last remaining envelope inside itself, and adhere the last envelope directly on top of the last exposed envelope of the book.  This will create a sturdy back cover.
  8. Hold the book closed with the “spine” facing upward.  This is where the envelopes fit together.  Carefully place a small piece of double-sided tape between each of the envelope flaps and previous envelopes to hold the book together.

Using your Envelope Book

Make your Travel Envelope Book before your trip, and carry it in a small box in the car… a shoebox works great!  Every time you pick up a brochure, map, an event ticket or other trip memorabilia, place it in one of the envelopes in your book.  When you return from your trip, all of your memorabilia will already be organized in your Envelope Book—simply add photos, journaling and embellishments!
