Instructions (Print version)

  1. Begin by setting the Circle Cutter to 1 ½” and cut out one circle.  This is the base of the flower.  Adjust the Circle Cutter to 1” and cut a second circle, which will become the back cover.
  2. To make the flower, begin with the 1 ½” circle base.  The flower is created by applying Hand Punched – Teardrops cut from the toile paper around the circle beginning along the outside rim.  After the teardrops are cut, lightly fold them so they are no longer flat, folding into the paper design.  The rounded side of the teardrop lies along the edge of the circle.  Apply each teardrop by rubbing a little glue to the back of each pointed end.  You may choose to drop a puddle of glue onto a scrap paper and then dip the back of the pointed teardrop into that puddle of glue.  It is helpful to press each teardrop with the Dual – Tip Stylus to make sure it is secured firmly to the paper circle base.
  3. Embellish the center of the flower with metal pinwheels and a craft jewel.  Attach the embellishments together before adhering them to the center of the flower.  Add a glue dot to the back of the flower.
  4. To embellish the pin add ribbons to the back.  Tie metal pin wheels or beads to the ribbons knotting at the ends.  Layer the cream ribbons together and tie the ribbons at the top.  Press the ribbons into the glue dot on the back of the flower.  Add the gingham ribbon next and press into the glue dot.  Add some adhesive to the back of the small 1” circle cut earlier and press over the ribbon embellishments bending at the sides to cover everything up.  Attach a craft pin to the back and wear and enjoy!
