  • Required supplies:
  • 12” X 12” patterned background paper
  • Cardstock – sky blue, periwinkle, lime, white
  • Buttons – sky blue, periwinkle, turquoise, lime, navy
  • Tombow Permanent Adhesive
  • Glue Dots
  • Pop Dots
  • Computer & Printer (using various fonts for journaling and page topper)
  • Date stamp & periwinkle ink (or journaling pen to write date)
  • Markers – sky blue, lime, periwinkle (optional)
  • FISKARS® ShapeTemplate - Super Sized Circles

Instructions (Print version)

  1. Using ShapeCutter with Circle Shape Template and craft mat, cut photo into a 5.50” circle. Cut one 7” circle from sky blue, one 6” circle from periwinkle, one 6” circle from lime. Adhere photo to lime circle, lime circle to periwinkle and periwinkle to sky blue circle.
  2. Cut one 5” circle from periwinkle paper. Type your journaling, then print onto white cardstock. (NOTE: you can also hand write your journaling using a black journaling pen) Tear around journaling so the torn piece fits within the periwinkle circle. Adhere journaled piece to center of periwinkle circle. Using glue dots, adhere buttons randomly around journaling.
  3. Cut a piece of white cardstock to measure 1.75” X 1”. Ink stamp and then stamp date (or journal using pen) onto center of this piece. Mount onto lime cardstock and trim around, leaving approximately a 1/8” border. Mount onto periwinkle cardstock and trim around, also leaving a 1/8” border.
  4. Type phrase for page title, spacing a bit off to the right, then print. (NOTE: alphabet stickers can also be used here) Trim page title to measure 12” X (approximately) 2” high. Color in letters on page title, if necessary. Cut a piece of periwinkle cardstock to measure 12” X 3”. Ahere page title piece to center of periwinkle strip. Adhere to page.
  5. Type “that’s” and print onto white cardstock. (NOTE: you can also hand write) Cut this word out and trace around this piece using lime marker. Adhere this piece near the left edge of page title using pop dots.
  6. Using glue dots, randomly adhere buttons across top edge of page title.
  7. Adhere all pieces to background paper, starting with journaled piece.
