Fiskars stamps and Stamp Blocks aren’t just for paper crafts!  I found they worked beautifully with textile paint to create this rockin’ t-shirt for my daughter – a guitar hero superstar!  I mixed stamps from Ink by Steph and Li’l Davis to stamp the images in black near the shoulder and bottom of the tee.  Then I added a pop of color with fabric markers.

Instructions (Print version)

1. Pre-wash and iron t-shirt; cut cardboard to size to fit snugly inside shirt.  This will prevent paint from bleeding through backside and provide a flat surface while stamping.

2. Sketch a rough design on paper of how you want the shirt to look.  Mix and match stamps to create your design.
3. Place clear stamps on Stamp Blocks and use foam brush to lightly apply thin coating on stamps.
Note: Be particularly careful with stamp images that have fine detail.
4. Stamp designs and let dry thoroughly.
5. For the circle of stars, I used the Circle Shape Template and a pencil to lightly mark a 3 ½” circle around the guitar image.  I then stamped my small stars around the circle.

6. Once the images are dry, color with fabric markers.

7. Follow directions on your fabric paint/markers.  Mine required that I heat set the designs with an iron.  Once this is done it’s ready to wear.
