- Required supplies:
- Red patterned background scrapbook paper
- Cardstocks - red, black, white, asst'd colors (depending upon colors on bar pin)
- Foil paper - gold
- Brads - (8) gold
- Block letter rubber stamps
- Gold embossing powder
- Embossing stamp pad
- Embossing heat gun
- Sticky foam pop dots
- Black writing pen
Instructions
(Print version)
- Using paper trimmer, trim photo to measure 5" X 5".
- Cut a piece of black cardstock to measure 5-1/4" X 5-1/4". Mount photo using photo stickers to the center of this cardstock piece.
- Cut a piece of red cardstock to measure 5-3/4" X 5-3/4". Mount black/photo layers to center of this piece.
- Cut a piece of black cardstock to measure 6" X 6". Mount all layers to center of this piece.
- Using circle hand punch, punch once in center of red matting in each corner. Insert one brad into each hole, then spread points apart behind cardstock.
- Cut a piece of black cardstock to measure 4-1/4" X 9-1/4".
- Cut a piece of red cardstock to measure 4" X 7-3/4". Using photo stickers, adhere this piece to bottom section of black piece.
- Cut a piece of black cardstock to measure 3-3/4" X 7-1/2". Adhere this piece to center of red piece.
- Cut a piece of white cardstock to measure 3-1/2" X 7-1/4". Journal messages about photo onto white cardstock piece using black journaling pen. Mount this piece to center of black piece.
- Using circle hand punch, punch once in center of red matting in each corner. Insert one brad into each hole, then spread points apart behind cardstock.
- NOTE: for bar pin, refer to pin in photo for colors and construct a strip that resembles pin. Using photo stickers, adhere across top black section above journaled piece.
- Cut (4) squares of white cardstock to measure 3/4" X 3/4". In center of each square, stamp "U", "S", "M", "C" (NOTE: "ARMY" can be stamped, or "USAF", etc. depending on what branch of military photo refers to). Immediately sprinkle with embossing powder. Gently tip square and tap off excess powder. Emboss using embossing heat gun.
- Using ShapeCutter with Banners ShapeTemplate and craft mat, cut (3) chevron shapes from gold foil paper. (NOTE: number of shapes or shapes - chevrons, curves, etc.) can be modified to resemble patch that photo refers to)
- Adhere photo to upper left corner of page using pop dots.
- Immediately below photo, adhere chevrons or curves (according to photo) using photo stickers.
- Adhere large black piece to lower right corner using photo stickers.
- Adhere letter squares to upper right corner using pop dots.
