Instructions (Print version)

  1. Create a 5”x 7” card from the red cardstock with the fold on the left.  Lightly sand edges to distress.
  2. Cut a 4 ¾” x 4 ½” piece from navy cardstock.  Using the Texturing Tool and the Lines Texture Plate, emboss lines on the navy piece.  Lightly sand the lines to distress.  Adhere to front top of card.
  3. Cut a 2” x 5” piece from striped cardstock.  Gently crinkle this piece and smooth out.  Rub with sandpaper to distress.
  4. Using a sewing machine and white thread, sew a zig-zag stitch along the bottom of the striped piece. Adhere to front of card just below the navy piece.
  5. Use the Teeny Tiny Sailboat Palm Punch and punch a row of sailboats on a ¾” x 5” strip of white cardstock.
  6. Use the 1/8” eyelet setter to set a pewter eyelet in between each punched sailboat and at the top corners of the navy piece.  Adhere the sailboat strip across where the navy and striped paper meet.
  7. Computer print sentiment with navy ink onto white cardstock.  Cut out and staple to a slightly larger piece of navy cardstock.  Lightly sand edges. Adhere word block to front of card with foam mounting squares.
  8. Cut a sailboat shape (enlarged the sailboat punch shape to create a sailboat about 3 ¾” x 3 ¾”) from yellow cardstock.  Zig-zag stitch around the outer edges and adhere to navy piece with foam mounting squares.
