It’s summertime, which must mean it’s baseball season! Over the years, I’ve managed to collect a hefty stack of trading cards for my son’s sports teams. This mini-album gives you a great way to display trading cards & wallet sized photos. Ready to play? Let’s get started…

Instructions (Print version)

1. Start with a sheet of trading card pages (available at your local office supply store). Carefully trim the rows so that you have 3 “pages” of 3 slots across. 

2. Trim 4 pieces of cardstock to 9” x 4” using the Fiskars Portable Trimmer.
3. Round the right hand corners using the Fiskars Round the Corner squeeze punch.
4. Layer cardstock & trading card sheets, starting & ending with cardstock.
5. Trim a piece of patterned paper to 4” x 4”. Use the Fiskars Leave it to Weaver border punch to punch the left edge. `

6. Fold the patterned paper over the edges of the cardstock to form a “binding.” Secure with 2 brads (if you plan to add more pages, you may want to use binder rings instead of brads)

7. Embellish the front of the album using letter stickers and punched shapes. Rather than using simple circles, I used two sizes of the Fiskars Round n’ Round squeeze punch. I punched the smaller circle first, then lined up a larger punch to create a unique shape.

8. Insert trading cards into the inner pages.

9. Embellish the inner pages using punched shapes & patterned paper.

10.  I decided to include basketball in this album, as well, so I inserted a wallet-sized photo in place of a trading card. I filled in the other slots with cardstock & punched shapes.
11. It’s easy to add dates using this fun date stamp from Lil’ Davis Designs. Simply stamp the image on cardstock, then punch out using the Fiskars Round n’ Round squeeze punch.

It’s easy to customize this album to fit any sport…or even just wallet-sized photos of summer fun!
