Designer: Lisa Storms I know a lot of us love to make pies (or at least eat them!). They are a huge part of the holidays for me. I like to make a few extras to take around to my neighbors as a thank you for all they do for us. Since cling wrap and I don't get along, my favorite way to package up pies is by using large freezer bags. Adding a few quick stamped images automatically turns a utilitarian bag into festive seasonal packaging. I wanted to design a yummy card to house my thank you that would be quick and versatile and easy to create assembly-style. By using a circle border punched cardstock base, I am able to switch up the "filling" for any pie I want! These pie gifts work well for any season, from letting them know how "thankful" you are for their kindness ... to wishing them a "sweet" holiday season!

Instructions
(Print version)
1. Stamp seasonal images onto freezer bag using white StazOn ink. Fill in details with Sharpie marker. 2. Punch large circle using Heart of Hearts border punch from crust-colored cardstock. Chalk detail with brown. 3. Fold thin cardstock in half in the color of pie filling. Place 4" circle template onto cardstock with small sliver of circle outside folded edge. Cut with Ultra ShapeXpress one time. This creates your card. 4. If desired, add a layer of Mod Podge to the top of card to give the filling a glossy finish. 5. Add additional crust detail, such as punched leaves or woven lattice crust cut with pinked edges. 6. Adhere card to top of freezer bag and insert pie. 7. To add a little pizzazz to the zipper top, punch a strip of patterned paper with Scalloped Daisy border punch. Fold cardstock in half and adhere onto bag closure with braded glitter flowers. Get creative with different fillings and crust ideas. Trust me, it's really fun!! You can even get crazy adding filling beneath the crust as I did in this final example, adding two layers of "apple filling colored" felt under a chalked crust with designs cut out using a craft knife. I tacked down a few spots using a gluestick onto another circle of cardstock before running through the sewing machine for a secure hold. The sky is the limit. Consider adding small beads or glitter for sugar, buttons or Rain Dots for berries. If you have some extra time on your hands, consider decorating a can of whipped topping to present with the gift. Have fun! Supply List:
