Personalized Name Tag

Designer:
[fiskars top ten] Sherelle Christensen

My daughter takes violin at a local music school, and when there are group lessons or performances, things can get a little crazy. Most everyone has a black violin case, and they can very easily get mixed up of lost. I created this little tag that is protected by the plastic portion of a page protector, to help my daughter, Grace, know which case is hers. These little tags would work great for any instrument case or even a backpack or luggage.

Instructions (Print version)

Cut a piece of green cardstock measuring 3”x4.5”. Snip two corners to create a tag.

Cut a strip of patterned paper and adhere about ½” up from the bottom of tag. Adhere the pink scalloped sticker just above the paper.

Using the fold over letter stickers, spell something out on the bottom of tag. (I wrote music since it is for my daughter’s violin case)

Just above the scalloped sticker, use black ink and the stamp with lines to stamp a place to write name, address, phone number etc. Add their name above this stamp using colored letter stickers.

Embellish with flower stickers, chipboard hearts etc.  Add a brad to the center of each flower.

Place the tag inside a clear plastic page protector. Sew around the edges of tag, sealing it inside the plastic.

Add a piece of blue ribbon and red rick rack to the top of page protector, and near the bottom of tag. Sew in place.

Using pinking shears, cut off excess plastic around the sewing on the page protector.

Using the ¼” hole punch, punch a hole in the top of tag. Place a the chipboard hole reinforcement over the hole and string ribbon through.

Attach a plastic heart embellishment to the bottom of tag using a small safety pin.

Attach the ribbon on tag to a piece of ribbon tied onto bag using a larger safety pin.
