By using a Fiskars handheld circle punch to punch the holes in the pages for the bookring-binding, I’ll be able to easily add pages as we take more memorable trips together. Difficulty rating
Instructions (Print version)
Print or trim photos to use on the pages to 4x4. Then start by trimming pieces of chipboard (to use as page bases) to 4 x 8.5 inches.
FOR EACH VACATION PAGE: Cover each page with a patterned paper (to coordinate with photo). Trim a strip of contrasting patterned paper using a border punch or paper edgers (I used both the uppercrest border punch and the scallop paper edgers). Adhere photo to page and border strip along the side of the photo on the inside part (near where the binding will be).
DATE TAGS FOR PAGES: Punch an XL round n round circle (from same patterned paper as border strip on each page) and XL one way arrow (from coordinating solid cardstock) to be your “Date Tag” for the page. Adhere arrow on circle and then to page, add date. This is a great way to both record the year of your vacation and also provide continuity of design throughout your minibook. I added the year using rubons on some pages, and computer printed year tags on others. Add journaling to each page. Use the ¼ inch circle hand punch to punch 2 holes in each page, for book ring binding.
FRONT OF ALBUM: Cover with patterned paper. Trim circle from paper using the Ultra Shape Xpress and circle shape template. Adhere circle to side, strip of contrasting paper along bottom. Accent with punched arrow and small punch circles from pop up circle punch. Add title stickers to front.
