A pretty scalloped edge always feels a little old-fashioned to me. It reminds me of my Grandma Bea’s scalloped edge hand towels, and the doilies that she had on her end tables. The new Fiskars Cameo Ovations stamps and the Fiskars Cameo Appearance punch made it easy for me to create this pretty set of notecards with a bit of an old-fashioned feel.

Instructions (Print version)

1. Start with a set of blank notecards – I used pre-made kraft cards.
2. For each card, trim strips of patterned paper. Kimberly Polson’s Letters Home collection is perfect for creating a vintage feel. Arrange the strips in various patterns, and adhere to base notecards.

3. I find that the easiest way to use stamped images is to first stamp multiple times on a scrap piece of cardstock. For this project, I stamped several different sentiments from the Cameo Ovations stamp set.
4. After you’ve stamped your image, carefully line up the squeeze punch. I love how these stamps are specially made to fit the punch!

5. Adhere the punched sentiment with foam adhesive to give your card more dimension, then add embellishments.
