New Year's Invitation

A plain old piece of chipboard, cut into a tag shape, makes the perfect base for this simple card. Simply cut the chipboard into a rectangle, snip the two top corners, punch a hole, and you have a quick and inexpensive base for your card.

Instructions (Print version)

  1. Cut a piece of chipboard measuring 3”x9.5”. Snip off the two top corners and add a hole to create tag. Cut along bottom of tag with scalloped paper edgers.
  2. Adhere stickers to create lettering as shown.
  3. Cut a piece of patterned paper that is .5”x3” and 2.5”x3”. Turn the larger over to the striped side and adhere about ¼” from the bottom of tag. Adhere the other with a piece of pink rick rack under the edge between the two sets of lettering.
  4. Use handwriting to add text to pink cardstock. Adhere as shown.
  5. Adhere pink flower trim with buttons as centers as shown.
  6. Adhere various rub-ons and stamps around text.
  7. Tie pink ribbon through the top.
