Heading out to a party and stuck for a gift?  Cloud 9 Designs board books are fun to dress up for any occasion.  Here are two examples – a more elegant album using Cloud 9 Designs Cinnamon Stick, and a fun and bright album using Lil Davis Castaway.

These simple designs can be recreated with different papers for a different look (Heidi Grace Designs A Little Bird’s Tale would be perfect for a girl’s sleepover party, Lil Davis Away We Go would be awesome for a going away party, Heidi Grace Designs Baby would be sweet for a baby shower, just to name a few!).  Leave room for 4x6 photos to be added after the celebration, and this will be a gift that will be treasured for a long time.

“Celebrate” 6x6 board book & box set

Box instructions :
1. Trim brown patterned paper to 1.5in x 6.5in.  Use Threading Water punch along one side and attach to the bottom of the box.  Use letter stickers to spell out “celebrate” on the patterned paper, and add a rubon flourish.
2. Attach 3 dimensional sticker flowers to the box.  Cut thin strips of blue patterned paper and attach as stems under the flowers.  Punch 2 small blue circles and cut in half.  Attach to the stems as leaves.
3. Add rubon flowers and dots randomly to the background.

Cover instructions :
1. Trim floral paper to 3.75in x 6in.  Attach to the middle of the board book.
2. Trim 2 strips of blue patterned paper to 1in x 6in.  Use Threading Water punch on both.  Attach at the top and the bottom of the floral patterned paper.  Apply border rubons where the two papers meet.
3. Attach flower diecut to the middle of the album cover.

Inside pages :
1. Trim blue patterned paper to 1in x 6in. Use Threading Water punch along one side. Attach about 1/2in from the side of the page.
2. Trim red floral paper to 1in x 6in. Attach next to the blue patterned paper.
3. Add placemarker for a 4in x 6in photo.
4. Punch a circle from brown patterned paper.  Slide under the edge of the photo placemarker and embellish with a flower sticker.

“Party Time” 5x7 board book & box set

Box instructions
1. Spell out “party time” using chipboard letters in the center of the box.
2. Using the popup circle punch, punch circles from striped and dotted patterned paper.  Attach around the perimeter of the box.  Add buttons and dots of glitter glaze to the border.

Cover instructions :
1. Punch circles using the popup circle punch and the medium round n round squeeze punch from striped and dotted patterned paper.   Arrange on the cover as shown.
2. Add circles of glitter glaze to complete the cover.

Inside pages :
1. Trim red patterned paper to 4.25in x 7in using a pinking blade on the top edge.  Attach to the inside pages as shown.
2. Punch circles using the popup circle punch from striped and dotted patterned paper.  Attach across the top of the page.  Add dots of glitter glaze to finish the border.
3. Stamp “name” stamp using black ink on yellow patterned paper.  Cut out around the border of the stamp.
4. Add placemarker for a 4in x 6in photo.
5. Punch striped circles using the medium round n round squeeze punch.  Attach “name” circle to the striped circle and attach to the lower corner of the pages.
