Memory Game

This primitive looking project is a great one to involve your kids in. I let my children do stitching and button sewing – there was plenty of stitching to go around for everybody! It was so special to share the making of this fun little game with my girls.

Instructions (Print version)

  1. Using the 45mm Comfort Grip Rotary Cutter, Easy-to-Read Ruler and cutting mat, cut 24 – 3” X 3” pieces of felt.

  3. Using the XL Mint Condition Squeeze Punch, punch a template for the 12 leaves. Cut 12 felt leaves. Stitch the leaves on felt squares and set aside.
  4.  
  5. Cut circles for the sunshine and round flowers, The 6-petal flower, the mushrooms, and the bird are cut without a pattern. Just play with the felt until you have a whimsical shape and then duplicate it because you’ll need two of each. Stitch shapes onto felt squares, adding buttons as shown.

  7. Match each square with a square with a felt image and stitch together using a blanket stitch as shown.

  9. Play the game over and over with someone little!
