Spring is such a welcomed season in the northeast! We start to see hints of green grass, bright flowers, and blue water. I love to get outside & photograph all of the beautiful sights of spring. This layout is a simple tribute to the flowers that bloom in my garden. With handy tools such as squeeze punches & border punches, layouts like this come together so quickly!

1. Start with a 12x12 piece of cardstock as your base.
2. Trim a piece of patterned paper to 10” x 10”. Punch the upper & lower edges using Fiskars Apron Lace border punch. Adhere to base cardstock.
3. Trim a piece of white cardstock to 9.25” x 8”. Adhere to patterned paper.
4. Punch 5 shapes (I chose umbrellas, using Fiskars Under Cover squeeze punch)…punch 4 of the one color, and 1 of another coordinating color. (Tip – I chose a springy green, then pulled the bright pink out of one of my photos. This helps to tie together all elements of the layout.)
5. Adhere shapes across top of cardstock. Use foam adhesive to “pop” one of the shapes up.
6. Create your title & adhere below shapes. I used chipboard letters & stickers from Heidi Grace to create a bold title. Highlight a word in your title by using punched brackets created with Fiskars You Bracket, You Bought It squeeze punch.
7. Trim each of your photos to approximately 3” x 3”…leaving a thin white border. (Tip – to ensure that all of my photos were the same size, I resized them in Photoshop Elements before printing)
8. Adhere photos along bottom of layout.
9. Add stamped stitching just above your photos…this will help to “ground” your title. I used a stitching stamp from Heidi Grace’s Borders set.
