These adorable stamp sets by Heidi Grace Designs are a must if you like flowers and whimsy. Borders, backgrounds and other stamp designs in these sets inspire so many possibilities for card making and other projects. I thought I’d make this fun Mother’s Day card with bright colors and use my stamps in place of stitching and large amounts of patterned paper. I especially loved creating a monochromatic background pattern on the tag using the Sweetest Bug Words.

1. Create a 5”H x 7”W landscape card from cardstock.
2. Cut 3”W x 4 ½”H piece of red cardstock; stamp surface with Sweetest Bug Words stamp using watermark ink to create monochromatic word background and let dry.
3. Squeeze Punch top corners of red cardstock with Chip Off the Ol’ Block Corner Squeeze Punch.
4. Border Punch floral patterned paper with Scalloped Sentiment Punch; trim to width of tag; adhere to bottom of red tag.
5. Stamp border stamp along top edge of scalloped strip.
6. Punch out 2 circles using Pop Up Punch and Medium Round ‘n Round Squeeze Punch; layer at top of tag; and Hand Punch ¼” circle in center.
7. Tie ribbon at top of tag; then adhere tag to left side of card front.
8. Cut ¾”H x 7”W piece of green patterned paper; stamp border pattern along top and bottom of strip using Stamp Blocks; adhere on top of and across upper portion of card front.
9. Squeeze Punch flowers; then stamp flower design on each punch flower.
Note: this is faster than stamping an entire background before punching.
10. Layer punches with adhesive; add buttons in center and adhere to tag as shown. Add glitter to button for extra sparkle.
11. Squeeze Punch leaves and tuck under flowers with adhesive.
12. Stamp small area with floral design on aqua patterned paper; Squeeze Punch Medium circle; and adhere at bottom right corner of card.
13. Stamp heart on pink cardstock; cut out; add glitter glaze; and adhere to small circle with Adhesive Foam Dot.
14. Print sentiment on white cardstock; trim letters and adhere to left of circle at bottom right.
