july 2009Click image to enlarge Designer: Susan Weinroth The next time you are giving a gift card as a gift to a friend or family member… Try using this sketch to stitch or secure a gift card “pocket” to the front of your greeting card, as I did here! Difficulty rating
Instructions (Print version)
Fold and score 5x7 card base. Adhere pink dot paper to top and stripe paper to bottom. Use Apron Lace border punch to punch strip of blue cardstock – adhere under pink dot paper. Trim strip of green cardstock and adhere over apron lace punched border. Trim piece of cardstock slightly larger than your gift card – mine measures 3 x 3.5. Lightly adhere to card, then machine stitch around bottom three edges. Embellish with punched butterflies and “enjoy” greeting (which will work for most occasions when you are giving a gift card!).
Use acrylic block and acrylic stamp to stamp secondary greeting onto a strip of cardstock and adhere to bottom left of card. Embellish with another punched butterfly (adhere with foam square).
