With so many special occasions to celebrate, creating our own invitations and other party accessories can be so much fun! Putting together a nice ensemble cannot be any easier by using coordinating products from 1 or 2 lines and a few key Fiskars tools. The best part of all, with minimal paper, stickers, and accents, you end up with a one-of-a-kind group that takes little time! Your party guests are sure to be impressed.

Instructions (Print version)

40th Birthday invitation & matching place card

Place card Instructions:

(1) Start with a 3 3/4” wide X 3” tall ivory cardstock.  (If desired, computer-print the guest’s name on the card.)  Score and fold in half.

(2) Add a small piece of “floral” paper (blue side), one edge scallop-edge with a paper edger.  Adhere to the left of the place card front.

(3) Add a small piece of “Mini Floral Clusters” paper (brown side) and adhere to the left edge of the card front.

(4) Add a glitter flower and button.

Invitation:

(1) Using a blank 4 x 5 1/2 ivory card as the base, cover the front with a 4 x 5 1/2 piece of “Mini Floral Clusters” paper (brown side).

(2) With the Ultra ShapeExpress & the circle template, cut a 1 1/2” circle out of the front of the card to create a window.

(3) Add a 2-digit number (indicates year) to the window using the ‘alphas & symbols’ punchboard stickers. Brush on some baby powder on the exposed back of the stickers to remove the stickiness from them.

(4) Tim a 2 1/4 x 4 piece of “Mini Floral Clusters” paper (yellow side).  Edge one long side with a ‘clouds’ paper edger.  Adhere to bottom of card.

(5) Trim a 1 3/4 x 4 piece of “Décor Stripe” paper (green side) and adhere over the yellow paper.

(6) Trim a 1 1/2 x 4 piece of “Floral” paper (blue side) and adhere it over the green strip.

(7) Print your sentiment on ivory cardstock. Trim closely around it and adhere to the bottom of the card using foam squares.

(8) Add a glitter flower and button, overlapping the sentiment.

(9) Finally, place a strip of ‘velvet border’ sticker along the top edge of the card.

note: the same basic design was used for both invitations. When you create a design that you love- why not use it agan and again?

13th Anniversary invitation & party favor (photo) book:

Invitation:

(1) Using a blank 4 x 5 1/2 white card as the base, cover the front with a 4 x 5 1/2 piece of “Mini Décor Stripe” paper (magenta side).

(2) With the Ultra ShapeExpress & the circle template, cut a 1 1/2” circle out of the front of the card to create a window.

(3) Add a 2-digit number (indicates year) to the window using the ‘alphas & symbols’ punchboard stickers. Brush on some baby powder on the exposed back of the stickers to remove the stickiness from them.

(4) Tim a 2 1/4 x 4 piece of “Main” paper (orange grid side).  Edge one long side with a ‘clouds’ paper edger.  Adhere to bottom of card.

(5) Trim a 1 3/4 x 4 piece of “Mini Floral” paper (magenta side) and adhere over the orange grid paper.

(6) Trim a 1 1/2 x 4 piece of “Flower rings” shimmer paper and adhere it over the magenta strip.

(7) Print your sentiment on white cardstock. Trim closely around it and adhere to the bottom of the card using foam squares.

(8) Add a glitter flower and button, overlapping the sentiment.

(9) Finally, place a strip of ‘velvet border’ sticker along the top edge of the card.

Party Favor (Mini photo book):

Note – Measurement are not indicated below as this will depend on the size of the album used.

(1) Take a small blank photo album & cover the front and back with the “Flower Rings” shimmer paper.

(2) Trim 2 strips of “Main” paper (orange grid side), edge one side with the “clouds” paper edger.  Adhere each vertically to the front & back, close to the spine of the book as shown.

(3) Wrap a sheer purple ribbon around the front cover & double-knot.  Add a glitter flower & button over the knot. 

(4) Place a dimensional sticker on the front, close to the flower.
