With clear stamps and very little else, you can create monochromatic patterned papers that will make any holiday card special! These three cards use the same basic patterned papers, but I changed up the stamps and ink colors for cards that fit three different holidays. I love the color-on-color look of these stamped images on the tiny patterns of these papers...the possibilities are truly limitless!

Instructions (Print version)

Halloween Card:
1. Cut a piece of green patterned paper to 8 ½” X 5 ½”. Fold in half. Punch a border with the Threading Water Border Punch on one side. Cut a piece of orange patterned paper to 4 ¼” X 5 ½”. Adhere on the inside of the card so that it shows through to the front.
2. Cut another orange piece to 1 ¼” X 5 ½”. Adhere to the center of the card front. Cut a green striped piece to 1” X 5 ½”. Adhere in the center of the orange piece. Machine stitch the edges with a small zig-zag stitch.
3. Cut a white strip of cardstock to ½” X 5 ½”. Stamp the word “boo!” along the strip. (NOTE: The word “boo!” is part of a larger clear stamp in the Heidi Grace Halloween Clear Stamp set. Remove it from the larger stamp with a craft knife.) Adhere in the center of the stitched strip.
4. Cut a white strip of cardstock that is ¼” X 5 ½”. Stamp with the heart border and adhere below the other strips.
5. Tie a ribbon around the cars above the strips and tie a small bow on the left side.
6. Cut a 3” square from the orange check patterned paper (Only Time - Main, B side). Using orange ink, stamp pumpkins on the square, randomly allowing them to overlap the edges. Mount the square to white cardstock and mat with a narrow edge. Mount this piece on dark brown cardstock and edge with the Pinking Edger. Stamp the “Happy Halloween” sentiment in the upper left corner. Border the square with a straight brown stitch. Stamp a pumpkin on white cardstock with green ink. Cut out and mount on the square with Foam Adhesive. Mount the square to the right side of the card with Foam Adhesive.

Give Thanks Card:
1. Cut a piece of solid cardstock to 6 ½” X 7 ¼”. Fold in half length-wise. Cut a piece of yellow patterned paper (We Are Family – I Love My Family, B side) to 3” X 7”. Randomly stamp the yellow paper with the bundle of wheat clear stamp and yellow ink, allowing the image to overlap the edges. Adhere to the card front.
2. Punch a border on the brown patterned paper (We Are Family – Medium Trees, B side) with the Leave it to Weaver Border Punch. Trim to ¾” X 7”. Cut a 3/8” X 7” strip of green patterned paper (Day Dream Believer – Décor Stripe, B side) and weave it through the border. Adhere to the card ½” from the bottom.
3. Stamp “Give Thanks” and the acorn below the strip.

Merry Christmas Card:
1. Cut solid white cardstock to 6” X 12”. Fold in half.
2. Cut green patterned paper (Day Dream Believer – Décor Stripe, B side) to 5 ¾” X 5 ¾”. Stamp randomly with holly leaves, allowing the images to overlap the edges. Adhere to the card front. Using the 12-in-1 Sewing Multi Tool, pierce a hole in the card over each holly berry. Stitch up through each hole, tie a knot, and stitch back down through the same hole. Repeat for each hole. (Note: You want knots on the FRONT of the card, not on the back. Use tape to secure the thread on the back side without knots. Cover the inside cover of the card with patterned paper to cover all the tape and thread when finished.)
3. Cut solid white cardstock to 2 ¼” X 3”. Stamp the “Merry Christmas” image in the center in red. Fill in around the red image with the same stamp in black (the stamp is perfectly designed to do this). Stamp two holly leaf images at the corners of the red image as shown.

4. Cut the red stripe ribbon to 5”. Adhere to the right side of the card, 2” above the bottom. Adhere the stamped rectangle and layer above that with a foil rimmed acetate rectangle. Position this above a folded towel or mouse pad and pierce holes for the buttons with the Sewing Multi Tool piercing piece. You will be piercing through the acetate, three layers of paper, and ribbon. Sew the buttons on, tying knots in the back.
