I am a simple girl, I love simple things and I love quotes…I also like using scraps of paper, fabric, ribbon…and this is a very simple & quick project that touches on many of the things I love to create with.
I have few old pairs of jeans that, well, just “don’t fit so good anymore” I have used the denim, the pockets, the rivets, even the belt loops on many of my projects. This project will use the lining of one of the pockets and a small piece of denim…along with a stamp, some ink, a sewing machine…a very old tattered frame…and a little love!

 1. Cut out the inside lining of a pocket from some old jeans. Place flat on a solid & flat surface, place a quote stamp on a stamping block, ink the stamp and stamp the image. Trim edges to desire length & width with pinking shears.
2. Based on the size of your frame, (mine is 3 ½ x 5) cut a panel of denim and batting using the rotary cutter and 6.5 x 12.5 inch clear ruler.
3. Layer the batting, denim and your stamped image together, pin in place and stitch around image & outside edge of denim.
4. Trim any exposed edges of batting from denim piece. Remove glass from frame.
5. Use coordinating scrap pieces of ribbon, twine or jute, wrap around few times around top of frame and tie in knot. Punch out one small heart from the medium sized “That’s Amore” Squeeze punch, ink edges lightly for dimension, punch a hole in upper corner, attach a jump ring to heart and hand it from the twine….
6. Place denim project into frame (do not use glass). Replace frame cardboard backing It…again...SEW cute…SEW Simple…and very sweet.
