Embossed Green Birthday Card

• Required supplies:
• Cardstock - plum, white
• Handmade paper - lime
• Lime star beads
• Decorator's Chalk - plum, green, yellow
• Craft glue
• Photo stickers
• Embossing pen (OPTIONAL)
• Clear sparkly embossing powder (OPTIONAL)
• Embossing heat gun (OPTIONAL)

Instructions (Print version)

1. Using rotary trimmer, cut a piece of each lime handmade paper and plum cardstock to measure 6 1/4" X 11". Fold each in half to create cards that measure 5 1/2" X 6 1/4".
2. Cut a piece of white cardstock to measure 5 1/2" X 4 1/4". Insert cardstock piece between stencils and center for placement. Emboss all shapes onto cardstock piece. Remove cardstock piece from stencil.
3. Remove one stencil from tray and place right side up over embossed cardstock piece, creating a stencil for chalking. Chalk all embossed areas using plum, yellow and green chalk colors.
4. Cut a piece of plum cardstock to measure 5 3/4" X 4 1/2". Using photo stickers, adhere embossed piece to plum cardstock piece. Adhere both pieces to lower section of front flap of card.
5. Adhere lime stars across top of curtain shape above cake.
6. OPTIONAL: trace across cake top using embossing pen. Sprinkle clear glitter powder onto embossed area. Tap off excess powder. Emboss using heat gun.
7. Along fold of card, make cuts in sets of 2, each of the 2 cuts approximately 1/4" apart and about 1" in depth at about 45 degree angles, the angles pointing toward the center of the card. Open card and lay flat once 4 sets of cuts have been made, each set about 1" from the next. Fold each cut flap over to create a plum fold.
8. Fold card in half again to crease folds securely.
