Instructions
(Print version)
-
Begin by cutting one 1” circle and one 1 ½” circle from white card stock. The white flowers for this project come from the flowers that are created by the Border Punch – Flowers. Tip – Always save the flowers from the Border Punch as there is always a use for them later! This project uses about 70 flowers.
-
First decorate the outer edge of the 1 ½” white circle with white flowers. Rub the glue stick along the outer ¼” edge of the circle and press flowers all along the rim. Do not fill in this circle with flowers. Add a glue dot to the center of this circle and set to the side.
-
Now work with the 1” circle. Rub the glue stick along the edge of the circle just like before. Add flowers all along the edge. Press a glue dot to the center of this 1” circle and cover with flowers beginning around the edge of the glue dot and working inward. If you want to add even more flowers, press the glue stick to a few more flowers and add them to the top. Notice how the glue dot adds dimension to the flower. Now, add this 1” circle of flowers to the center of the 1 ½” circle pressing together but not too hard since you want to keep the 3 dimensional look. Embellish with a pink craft jewel. Add a glue dot to the under side of the flower.
-
To add the fabric backing for the pin lightly iron freezer paper to white organza fabric. Set the Circle Cutter to 2” and cut out one circle from the organza material. Weave thread around the outer edge of the circle and cinch in to make a fabric puff. Stitch the top of the puff to the bottom of the puff with just one or two stitches. Press the top of the puff into the back of the flower to form the pin embellishment. To finish the pin, cut a final 1” circle from white card stock and adhere to the back of the fabric and add a craft pin.
