Create a quick and easy mini-book for a special man – or a special ‘dad’ in your life!  I used a super-simple 6x6 format (explained below) to create this book in honor of my husband’s first father’s day.  Pages are embellished using a range of Fiskars punches, and the new Leave it to Weaver border punch.  This format will even allow for future photos – just include blank pages to add photos later (which I did – in order to add a fathers day pic later on!).  And, finally - while this is a great way to celebrate dad on fathers day – you can also just use the 6x6 format to create any possible theme of book that you’d like!

Instructions:

1. Start by trimming as many sheets of chipboard to 6x6 as pages you’d like in your mini album.
2. Next trim 6x2 strips of various coordinated patterned papers.
3. On each 6x6 chipboard page – adhere a 2x6 strip of patterned paper, and 4x6 photo print to cover page.
4. Add journaling strips with journaling written/printed on kraft cardstock, adhering the strips to the patterned paper portion of each page.
5. Embellish pages with various circle punches, rubons, stickers, and punchboard accents.
6. Additional border punch embellishment – punch 6 inch length of cardstock using Leave it to Weaver border punch and trim off one side creating wide “fringe” edge.  Adhere to side of vertical photo.
7. Embellish cover with title and accents.
8. Assemble pages in order then bind book with either coil, or something such as bookrings.
