I love looking for unique items in thrift stores or at rummage sales to alter!  Home Décor is a favorite of mine and makes a great gift!  When I have a project in mind the first thing I do is pull out my Fiskars tools thinking about which I want to use for the project and which ones will enhance the look.  For this project I chose to highlight the Oopsie Daisy squeeze punches, Scalloped Daisy embossed border  punch and Antique Elegance circle border punch.  I absolutely love using these on so many items since they are so versatile.  Of course I can never stop at just one Fiskars tool so you will see the use of several in this project!

Instructions (Print version)

1.  Create a pattern from scrap paper for the side panels of your cookie container.

2.  Trace and cut this pattern out of Sparkle Floral vines two times.  This is your front and back panel.

3.  Repeat this process using the brown/blue floral patterned paper from your page kit.  These are your side panels.

4.  Using the Scalloped Daisy embossing punch create a border along one full 12" side of the solid red cardstock from your kit.  (Large flower on the reverse)  Cut this strip off of cardstock leaving an inch past the design.  Using your Tool Taxi, score in from this edge about 3/4" toward the design and create a score line all the way along your pattern and fold over.  Cut this piece in half so you have two.  Repeat this process again so you have a total of 3 pieces.  Adhere to top panels that you have already cut folding over on to the back.  Trim excess.

5.  Adhere all 4 panels to your cookie jar.

6.  Using your circle border punch template cut a 4" circle out of solid brown cardstock and a 6" circle from solid red from your page kit.  Using your border punch go around the edge of each.

7.  Cut a 2 1/2" red circle from reverse side of Luster Cocoa Buds and a 4 1/4" blue circle from page kit cardstock using Circle Cutter.  Center each inside punched border circles. (ink edges if desired)  Attach these to front of cookie jar.

8.  Using your Oopsie Daisy squeeze punches punch 2 extra large and 2 large flowers from green side of Luster Mint Ripple.  Layer these together and embellish center with a Rain Dot flower from your Family and Shapes word sheet.  Ruffle up the edges of the flowers by bending, folding, and curling with your fingers.  Attach to your cookie jar as shown using a foam square.

9.  Add letter stickers to front of project inside of the circle areas.  Add a variety of dimensional flowers and chipboard,  rain dot flowers and other items to the front to embellish.

10.  Cover the top of your cookie jar with a piece of Luster Cocoa Buds. (remove the handle first if there is one)  Using your Fingertip Craft Knife cut a small hole in the center of the largest chipboard flower in your page kit.  Slide the screw up through the bottom of the lid and reattach the handle.

11.  Cut 2 strips of the red cardstock 1/2" wide and 2 strips of 1/4" luster mint ripple and center inside of this red strip.  Trim ends to fit cover and adhere a strip in the front and one in the back of the cover.

12.  Using your large Oopsie Daisy squeeze punch create 2 red and 2 blue flowers. Layer these by color so you have one red and one blue flower.  Attach one to the front strip and one to the back strip of the cover.  Embellish the center of the flowers and the strips with raindots or chipboard pieces.
