I love the cutting control I have using Fiskars Fingertip Tools!  With the Fingertip Craft Knife and the Fingertip Swivel Knife I can do detail cutting with precision and ease.....and without my hand cramping up.  : )  For this card I cut small windows in the cardstock with paper from Heidi Grace Designs’ Valentine’s Day collection peeking through as well as cutting out intricate paisley designs from patterned paper.

Instructions (Print version)

1. Cut 5x7 piece of cardstock for card front.  And create a 5x7 card from white cardstock.
2. Design geometric pattern (squares, rectangles, etc.) determining what spaces will be cut out and what will remain.
Note: Be sure to leave some spaces solid and leave at least ¼” between cut spaces for stability and to avoid tearing.
3. Use Fingertip Craft Knife to cut shapes from cardstock.

4. Cut various pieces of pattern paper to adhere to the back of each open space.
Note: For the sentiment boxes I used the same pattern paper for background.
5. Create sentiment to fit in the cut spaces with alpha stickers or words printed on cardstock.
6. Use Fingertip Swivel Knife to cut rounded and curves shapes from patterned paper – paisley designs.
7. Adhere paisley designs to remaining uncut spaces.
8. Use black pen to create dotted line around the geometric design.
9. Cut ¼” x 7” strip of patterned paper and adhere along right edge of card.
10. Adhere card front to front of card – this will hide the patterned paper pieces adhered on the back.
