1. Basecoat inside of wooden hoop and let dry.
2. Drill holes using the Craft Drill around hoop approximately 2.5” apart – 9 holes total.  3 of the holes (equally spaced apart) will be threaded with ribbon to suspend the mobile and the remaining 6 will be used to suspend butterflies and flowers.
3. Cut strips of patterned paper to cover side of hoop and repunch holes using piercer.
4. Cut 3 – 30” pieces of ribbon.  Thread ribbon through 3 holes to suspend the mobile and secure ends near the hoop with a knot; gather the other ends and tie a loose knot or bow; temporarily hang the mobile to continue its construction.
5. Cut 6 strings/beading cord 18” – 24” in length; put ends through remaining holes; knot on the inside of the hoop and trim excess. 
6. Cut a variety of butterflies from patterned paper and vellum
7. Mix and match sizes and types of paper to layer and adhere butterflies together to form 9 complete butterflies.  Remember to shape and curl wings and antennae.

8. Use piercer to punch holes in each butterfly body; thread cord through top of butterfly body and create a knot just below to keep it from slipping down.  Stagger the butterflies to allow room to hang, create balance and leave space for flowers.
9. Cut various sized flowers and circles for centers from templates; adhere flowers together with cord between layers.
10. Apply buttons and flowers to hoop for additional embellishment.
11. Trim any excess cord from bottom and hang mobile in desired location.
