stamped bracelets

My 12 year old daughter and her friends love making their own jewelry!  Creating these funky shrink plastic link bracelets made with Fiskars Squeeze Punches and wire tools and Li’l Davis Design’s stamps bracelets would be the perfect activity or favor for any tween or teen party.

Instructions (Print version)

1. Cut / Punch link shapes (circles, squares or other) from shrink plastic.

NOTE: For the bracelet with squares, I used my trimmer to cut the squares and the Corner Squeeze Punch to create the rounded corners.  However, many of Fiskars geometric shaped Squeeze Punches can be used with shrink plastic.  I do recommend, not using the more intricate designs since the plastic is slightly more difficult to punch than cardstock. 

2. Stamp design on shiny side of shrink plastic and let dry.

NOTE: Stamping on the shiny side of the plastic gives a more crisp design.

3. Color rough side of shrink plastic with colored pencils.

4. Punch 1/8” holes 1/8” from edge of shape.

5. Bake with rough side down in toaster oven or oven @ 325 degrees.

NOTE: Read and follow baking instructions on shrink plastic packaging.  Time of baking will vary between 1 and 5 minutes.  Also, line the surface you are baking on (cookie sheet, etc) with foil.

6. Once pieces are cool, use Fiskars Pliers to attach jump rings, chain and lobster claw closure to complete.
