Birthday Princess Crown

Designer: Becky Novacek

Fiskars birthday celebration was just the right event,  to create the birthday crown that I had been wanting to make. The Princess Sparkle paper couldn't have fit the theme and idea better.

Instructions (Print version)

1. Use the crown as a pattern and trace onto pink chipboard. It would work well to use plain chipboard as well and just paint it the color you want.

2. After tracing the pattern use the craft knife to cut it out. This is a great beginner project with the craft knife since it is such a basic pattern.

3. Use the shape cutting system to cut an oval from the sparkle cardstock. Then use the pinking paper edger to cut around the oval.

4. Use the dot outline stamp on ivory cardstock. Then handwrite *birthday princess*. Cut out.

5. Use glue gun to adhere oval to center of crown.

6. Add Rain dots to top circles on crown.

7. Use a wet adhesive and draw lines for glitter. Glitter can go in any design you choose. Allow glue to dry before moving to the next step.

8. Add stamped *Birthday Princess* to oval.

9. Puncture 2 holes on each side of crown for ribbon. Pull ribbon through holes, don't tie yet.

10. Staple star garland at each end of crown and then use ribbon to tie in place.

11. This project would be perfect for a birthday party, allowing the guest to embellish their crowns. An adult would just need to pre-cut the crowns.
