Instructions
(Print version)
- To create the background, use a sewing machine and black thread to straight stitch around edge of a 12” x 12” piece of light pink cardstock. Stitch a double row curving and crossing each other so sewing is not exactly straight.
- Cut a 4” x 12” strip of white cardstock. Use the Embossing Border Punch to punch across one long edge. Line punch up so you get 6 complete scallops.
- Cut a black cardstock strip 3” x 12”. Use the small edge of the Deckle Paper Tear Edger (or freehand tear) one long side the black strip.
- Mount the white scallop edge piece over the black piece so black tearing extends slightly form under scallops.
- Mount entire piece to lower part of pink background cardstock.
- Mount photo to a piece of black cardstock and cut to create a border around photo.
- Mount photo piece to a piece of white cardstock and cut around leaving a larger border – making sure on the right side of the photo cut white cardstock so it is about 3” longer than photo.
- Use the Embossing Border punch to punch along right side of white cardstock. Try to line punch up so you get 3 complete scallops.
- Tear a black piece of cardstock as in the bottom border to fit behind white scallops on photo piece. Adhere entire photo piece to top left of layout tilting slightly.
- Use the black rub-on letters to create a word or title on right side of photo.
- Computer print journaling onto white cardstock and cut out into a block.
- Sew around journaling block with black thread and a straight stitch. Adhere to lower right of scalloped strip.
- Tie a bow in the ribbon and place over scalloped strip toward left side. Wrap ends across layout and adhere ends under.
- Wrap a piece of ribbon around top right of photo to crate a ribbon corner.
- Press metal monogram letter into Versamark ink and then black embossing powder. Heat emboss and tie or adhere letter under knot in bow.
- Use the Pop-Up Daisy Punch and different shades of pink cardstock to punch a variety of daisies.
- Adhere a daisy at the top of each scallop and place a grouping around the bottom left corner of photo.
- Adhere a pearl bead to the center of each daisy.

Note: Use this same format on layout as a template for any theme or photos. A grouping of several photos could be places instead of the one big photo. Use different border punches and pop-up punches to give different effects according to the theme of your layout.
