baby shower (windmill) card

I have several friends who are expecting (or welcoming) new babies into their lives. We know that all babies can spin new mommies around….so I created this cute card to celebrate a new little one’s arrival. This bright & cheery card gets a little extra fun with a 3-D windmill!

Instructions (Print version)

1. Cut a square of patterned paper using the Fiskars Portable Trimmer (adjust the size of your square according to how big you want the windmill to be).

2. Lay the square on a cutting mat, and place a ruler diagonally across it. Use the Fiskars Fingertip Craft Knife to cut from each corner to the middle…but stop about 1/2 “ from reaching the center.
3. Fold one corner of each section toward the center, and secure with a brad.
4. Cut a square of cardstock wide enough to accomdate your windmill. Round all corners. Stamp a “stick” using a stamp from Heidi Grace’s Cheerful Bee collection.

5. Adhere the windmill using Fiskars Tape Runner.
6. Add a sentiment (I used a rub-on from Lil’ Davis Designs Little One Collection).
7. Punch two hands out of cardstock using Fiskars High Five squeeze punch. Adhere to cardstock using foam adhesive.
8. Form a base card out of cardstock. Punch multiple circles of coordinating patterned paper using Fiskars. Adhere around the bottom & side edges of the base card.
9. Adhere the windmill square using foam adhesive for added dimension.
