As kids grow into their tweens and teens, it gets a little harder to create themes for their parties… especially boys. I’m not saying it’s impossible though…and with a little planning ahead this mom to three teens gets a party going in style. No matter what theme you do end up choosing, my kids always like to remember the kids that came and a little book to put the photos of their friends afterwards. So for this project, grab a small board book or mini album…some teen themed patterned paper like Fiskars ‘Ink by Steph’ line, and a few Fiskars tools and you’ve got a great autograph /photo album that is sure to be the hit of the party. What I love about this is that it’s great for boys or girls. Perfect!

Instructions (Print version)

1. Lay 1 sheet of  ‘Ink by Steph’ patterned paper on top of board book cover (lining up with the fold) Use Fiskars Softgrip or finger-tip Craft Knife to lightly trim around the edge of book. Use glue stick to adhere patterned papers.

2. Trim inside pages so that patterned paper covers the left side and a small portion of the second facing side.

3. Embellish with Stickers, photo (of your kid throwing the party), journaling. All right hand pages will be the autograph side for kids to sign (I suggest using a thin Sharpie).

note: I left the patterned paper fairly empty for the most part,  so that party photos can be added later.
