Instructions (Print version)

  1. Create a 5” square card from white cardstock with the fold on the left.
  2. Cut four 2 ½” squares, one each from grey, navy, red, and tan cardstock.  Lightly sand edges of these blocks.
  3. Place blocks on front of card and use the sewing machine and white thread to straight stitch around the edges of each block.
  4. Cut two 2 ¼” white net blocks and adhere slightly angled on the grey and tan blocks.
  5. Use the Mini ShapeBoss Embossing System and Summer Fun Stencil Set to emboss the items onto the following colors of cardstock: seagull/grey, shell/tan, anchor/navy, bucket and shovel/red.  Cut about 1/8” away form the embossing on each item and lightly sand each piece to highlight the embossing.
  6. Use the eyelet setter to set an eyelet in the top of the anchor and the sides of the bucket.
  7. Thread a piece of cotton string through the top of the anchor.
  8. Adhere the embossed items to the block pieces with foam mounting squares.
  9. Tie a piece of cotton string around the front flap of the card along the fold and knot.
  10. Computer print “Ahoy” onto white cardstock with navy ink and cut out.
  11. Sew around the word and adhere to front of card under knot on the string.
