Spa Gift Certificate:
By transforming a spare box I saved from some jewelry with some paint and clever shapes, I set the tone of a spa day by mimicking a facial with cucumber slices. The gift certificate inside is sparkly and beautiful thanks to creatively cutting up a stamped Zinnia Zing to uncover the "hidden" poinsettia inside.
1. Paint jewelry box white. Once dry, add a "slathering" of light blue paint. Set aside to dry fully.
2. Trace two 2" circles using Circles-1 shape template onto dark green cardstock. Cut out with scissors. Note: Cutting out with Ultra ShapeXpress doesn't leave the circle large enough to mat the XL Round 'n Round punch. By cutting out traced circle by hand, this leaves you a small matting for cucumber peel.
3. Punch two XL Round 'n Round circles using squeeze punch. Adhere centered onto dark green circles.
4. Punch several seeds from beige paper using Tear Drop hand punch. Adhere randomly onto cucumber slices. Adhere slices to top of box once dry.
5. Stamp two flowers from the Zinnia Zing stamp set with red ink on pink cardstock. Using scissors, cut out the smallest part of flower from one image and a larger portion from other image. Paint with glue and add translucent glitter. Once dry, adhere together and top with yellow gems.
6. Format text for gift certificate to fit inside box, being sure to allow room for poinsettia and border punch. Print onto pink cardstock. Tip: Be sure your measurements are in 1" increments to allow for perfect alignment with corner border punch.
7. Punch around gift certificate with Snowbubbles corner border punch and adhere onto white cardstock.
8. Adhere poinsettia at left to complete gift certificate.
Coupon Book:
1. Trim green cardstock to 4-1/8" x 6-1/2".
2. Using scoring blade, score line at 4" from each short end. Fold to create coupon book cover.
3. Adhere blue and green papers centered onto cover and add letter stickers at bottom.
4. Cut two antennae/bodies from Butterfly template, in brown and neutral colors. Trim off "antlers" from brown shape and adhere over neutral. Add googly eyes and button nose.
5. Punch circle using pop-up punch from neutral brown paper and feed back into punch to punch off ear. Repeat for other ear and adhere onto back of head. Adhere reindeer to cover.
6. Format coupons into 3.75" x 6.25" rectangle leaving 1.75" blank at top for punch and perforating. Print coupons onto assorted papers or thin cardstocks.
7. Trim coupons to size and run perforating line ½" from top and directly down center.
8. Add punch to each coupon and staple stack to back cover.
