The Art of QuillingDear Patti,
My friend has mentioned quilling and I don't know what this is. Can you tell me so I can stop pretending to understand what she is talking about?
Sincerely,
Quilling Quandary
Dear Quilling Quandary,
Quilling is what you call when you take strips of paper, curl them and make the curls into designs like flowers.
The normal size strips used are 1/2" wide and the key is to roll tightly and let the spiraled paper out a little bit and then secure the design with glue.
You can then adhere the quilled design to your scrapbook page or make a wonderful embellishment all your style. There are many websites that have different design patterns that you can use to make wonderful quilled designs.
Have fun quilling and remember you can upload any projects to our gallery to share your wonderful new knowledge of crafting!
